This afternoon at 4pm, ILASA International (NGO) and Crime Stoppers DR donated a CG150 X1000 Motorcycle to the National Police of Cabarete to be able to increase patrols throughout the entire community of Cabarete. ILASA and Crime Stoppers DR's Founder Leon Alter presented the registration and keys to, coronel licenciado José Armando Brito Melo and Inspector for the Policía Nacional, Magor Edward Perdomo Sena and Lt Coronel Lic. Fajardo in charge of the Policia Nacional in Cabarete. This motorcycle has been donated for use in Cabarete.
ILASA and Crime Stoppers DR also donated $23,600 Pesos for the reperation of one of the patrol vehicles from Cabarete which should be back on service this Friday. The truck had a broken fuel pump and other parts that required changing.
Then once learning that Sosua had one patrol vehicle missing a proper battery, Mr. Alter from ILASA donated a brand new high power battery for use in the said vehicle to Cor. Brito so that Sosua as well can get one more vehicle back on patrols. Leon Alter stated that ILASA and Crime Stoppers DR will continue to support the local police and city of Cabarete and Sosua as well as other parts of the country.
Coronel Brito thanked Leon Alter and all of his supporters and the people that donated the funds to make this possible. Brito thanked ILASA and Crime Stoppers DR on behalf of himself, the national police and the entire country for its continued support of law enforcement and for the communities they serve and protect.
